Although the latest research shows that multitasking is not efficient and actually leads to a downward spike in productivity, many of us in this industry continue to do “ten things at once.”
During this session we will discuss time management in general, time management specific to our industry, and we will address ways in which we can complete tasks at hand while making an effort to cut back on multitasking.
Sandra's Bio
Sandra O’Donnell has over 20 years of experience in clinical research. Her experience includes domestic and international monitoring, quality assurance/regulatory, and medical/CRA training and development for pharmaceutical companies and international CROs. She also has experience as an investigational site study/regulatory coordinator at a regional medical center.
Sandra has a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (licensed through the American Society for Clinical Pathology), with primary interest in Microbiology/Parasitology and Blood Banking, and has experience as a Clinical Laboratory Manager in the hospital setting. She has a Master’s Degree in Adult Education, with an emphasis on providing Continuing Medical Education. She has been a certified clinical research associate (CCRA) through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) for over 12 years.
Sandra has been an active member of the ACRP since 1996. She served as the Track Chair for the Trainer’s Track for the 1997 ACRP Annual Meeting, and served as a member of the CRA Certification Exam Committee from 1997-2005 (as Chair from 1999-2002). She is the immediate Past-President for the Lower Cape Fear Chapter of ACRP. She also serves as one of two editors of the home-study continuing education articles in ACRP’s professional journal, “The Monitor.”
Sandra has a strong belief and background in teamwork and in process improvement as ways to effect positive change.
